Drilling & Service Rig Operators (PDF)
Drilling rig and service rig jobs are very similar. What differs is the nature of the equipment and the length of time spent on a particular site. Drilling rig crews may spend weeks to months drilling a very deep well and when completed, never return to that site. Service rig crews remain on site for a much shorter period of time lasting days to weeks, and regularly return for well maintenance and production enhancement.
