Content Guidelines
The following guidelines and policies direct content for the Careers in Oil & Gas
website.
Content Guidelines
- Content must be in line with the
stated goals of the website and with the representative and
collaborative mission of the Petroleum HR
Council.
- Content must be reviewed and approved
through accepted process.
- Content on the site is
Canadian-based, with a focus on government, not-for-profit
resources and public institutions, added or modified at the
discretion of the Petroleum HR Council.
- Public organizations and institutions
requesting additional exposure on the site may advertise on the
website through our sponsorship program, and must adhere
to our advertising guidelines
and sponsorship process.
- Private companies and organizations
(Canadian or with Canadian-based operations only) may advertise on
the website through our sponsorship program, and must adhere
to our advertising guidelines
and sponsorship process.
- All Canadian laws and privacy
regulations are strictly adhered to.
- The Petroleum HR Council reserves the
right to make changes or modify website content at its
discretion.
Review Process
- All public inquiries in the form of
feedback or content change requests, including sponsors, partners,
members and affiliate organizations, must undergo a review,
validation and approval process at the discretion of the Petroleum
HR Council staff.
- Reviews and approvals involve
Petroleum HR Council staff and selected subject-matter
experts.
- Updates involving major additions,
deletions or changes in information architecture, design or
direction, may be reviewed and approved by the website Steering
Committee or other ad hoc Advisory Committee, in addition to the
review process stated above.
- While all feedback and updates to the
website are considered, placement for additions or deletions cannot
be guaranteed.
Website Requests
- Feedback, content changes,
corrections, broken link requests and cross-link exchanges for
consideration can be emailed to info@careersinoilandgas.com.
- Graphics for consideration must be
submitted in TIFF, JPG, PNG or EPS format, 72 dpi (at final
size).
- All requests are assessed on a
case-by-case basis, and subject to approval as per our content
guidelines and review process. Timelines for completion can
vary, however general guidelines are as follows:
- Minor updates and corrections are
gathered and completed on a weekly basis.
- Content changes requiring standard
review and approval are gathered and completed on a bi-weekly
basis.
- Content changes requiring outsourced
technical assistance are gathered and completed on a monthly
basis.
- Content changes requiring Steering
Committee and/or ad hoc Advisory Committee review and approval are
gathered and completed on a quarterly basis, and/or may require
response to a Request for Proposal.
