Post-Secondary

Canada's post-secondary education system is made up of public and private colleges and universities. Public institutions are funded by the government and typically have lower tuition costs. Private institutions are not government funded, however might offer fast-track programs that you can complete in a short period of time.

Colleges generally offer shorter programs of study, usually technical / practical in nature and grant diplomas or certificates to students. Universities grant degrees for specialized professions, and can offer broad-based, research-oriented academic programs of study.
