Advertising Guidelines
The following guidelines direct job posting and sponsorship
advertising content (paid ads) for Careers in Oil and Gas:

All ad content in the form of job posting advertisements and
sponsorship advertising prescribe to policies outlined by the Petroleum Human
Resources Council (the Council):

Policy
- Ad content and files submitted must meet all stated ad, design
and technical specifications. Ads not meeting specifications
may be returned to the advertiser for rework, and/or denied
inclusion on the website.
- Please note that the Council does not provide graphic design
services.
- The Council reserves the right to review and approve and/or
decline ad content and employer accounts at any time, in accordance
with our policies.
- Please allow up to 2-3 business days for your ad to be
approved. We are open during regular business hours from 8:30 -
4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Note that we are closed during Canadian
statutory holidays.
Sponsorship Advertisements
- Sponsorship
advertising in the form of display (banner) ads and logos may
be uploaded within the Employer Account directly by the
advertiser, subject to review.
- Additional content included in the sponsor package (feature
article, Day in the Life, etc.) may be submitted as per agreed upon
timelines between the sponsor and the Council.
- Sponsorships are offered as one year subscriptions, and will
run one for one year from the date the ad is live on the
website.
Job Posting Advertisements
- Job posting ads must be for positions in
Canada. Postings from international companies may be
accepted, so long as the position is located in Canada, and/or the
international company has Canadian-based offices and employment is
offered at a Canadian-based location.
- Each job posting remains live for 30 days unless otherwise set
by the employer in the account.
- Job postings are charged at a bundled rate of 5 postings for
$1,000, or 1 posting for $450. Employers purchasing less than 5
postings are charged the individual rate at $450 per posting. For
example: 7 postings purchased would be charged $1,900 + taxes
(bundled rate $1,000 + $450 + $450 individual posting).
- Additional discounts on job postings can be applied with the
purchase of a sponsorship package.
Job posting discounts for Sponsors are automatically applied to
your account at time of purchase.
- We do not provide recruitment services or maintain a resume
database of candidates. Job seekers with a Careers in Oil & Gas
account, will be notified of your job (via an email career alert)
on an opt-in basis.
Recruitment Agencies and Third Parties
- Recruitment agencies or other similar organizations may perform
recruitment activities on behalf of an oil and gas company.
Agencies posting jobs must be approved administrators by the oil
and gas company they are performing services for. Activities may
include the purchase of advertising, administration, account
set-up, payment and direct contact with the Council in posting
employment ads.
- The Council may require additional verification that the third
party is an agency of record on behalf of the company.
- Featured Employer sponsorship
advertising is reserved for Canadian oil and gas companies
only. Third-party recruitment agencies may purchase the sponsorship
package on behalf of employers and handle related
administration.
- Job postings must clearly state the employer and position. All
required account details must be completed in the employer account
set-up process. Anonymous employers will not be accepted.
Non-Employer Advertisers
- Organizations (such as educational institutions or oil and gas
industry associations) requesting additional exposure on the site
may advertise on the website through our sponsorship program, and
must adhere to our policies.
- Please contact the Council directly for information on
customizing your advertising package.
